We arrived in the Emirates in February. What I was very surprised at was my own desire to change a T-shirt for a sweatshirt - it got chilly in the evening. In theory, the UAE = heat (desert, proximity to Africa), but in practice it turned out that you can freeze there too. There is a small excuse for bewilderment: Dubai was a 16-hour transfer point, and we were worried about the weather forecast of another country.
However, unanswered questions are constantly revolving in my head. Therefore, today it was decided to figure out when is the best time to go to rest in the UAE?

The beginning and end of the season in the UAE in 2021
Fully the swimming season in the UAE lasts from September to December and from March to May. The best time to travel to Dubai is October and April, when it is finally less than + 30 ° С outside, and the water temperature is kept at + 26-28 degrees.

Since this article was written, we have already visited the UAE 4 times: once on our own and three times on a voucher. All tours were bought on aggregators. We know that the prices are there directly from the tour operator, and when you see an offer for a good hotel for an adequate price (in dockyard times it was 40-60 thousand for two from the region, now the price tag has grown a lot) - you have to take it right there.

Why is Dubai in the headline? Because it is the most popular of all UAE resorts. Each of the emirates, of course, is unique in its own way, but the climate in them is similar. So we will study the local weather by months, taking the season in Dubai as an example.
UAE in December, January and February

December the weather pampers with a temperature of + 27 ° С during the day. North winds begin to blow, but the water is still warming up to + 24 ° С, and the swimming season continues. December is the best place to visit the UAE with children in winter. The cost of the rest is acceptable, from 35,000 rubles per week for two, only if you are not planning a vacation. Well, there are a lot of people who want to celebrate the New Year in the UAE, which explains the "wild" prices.
We o-g-madam Dubai in December. Both in 2018 and in 2019 we spent a week here before the New Year. The weather is wonderful - you can sunbathe without a cream, you can swim too, but at the beginning it is cool. The city is decorated for the holidays, there are even Christmas markets. But the main thing is this: from mid-December to ≈25, there is a "dead" period for tour operators (all potential vacationers are busy preparing for NG). Therefore, they drastically reduce the prices for vouchers, and it is more than real to fly away for 20 thousand rubles per person!

In January beach vacation fades into the background. This month is a good time for sightseeing and shopping. About the first: the air temperature does not rise above + 23 ° С. It becomes noticeably chilly at night, only + 18 ° С. Sea water - for hardened (Russians, that is), + 21 ° С. About the second: Dubai Shopping Festival lasts all January, and the discounts are real. For example, Zara Home in Dubai is cheaper on sale than in Russia. It would seem that tours should cost even less, but no matter how it is: the minimum amount is from 40,000 rubles for the same week. And then after the 10th, at the end of the holidays.
In February the weather is very similar to January, warming begins by March. The sea warms up to + 23 ° С, the first daring bathers are splashing in the water. We went to Ras al-Khaimah in February, it was fine, and we sunbathed and swam. By the way, the Persian Gulf, on the coast of which Dubai is located, warms up more slowly. Reviews of tourists are advised in February by the resorts of the Gulf of Oman, for example, Fujairah.
UAE in March, April and May

In March real warmth comes. The air temperature rises to + 27 ° С, water - up to + 24 ° С. If you are deciding when to fly to the UAE with small children, we recommend March. Prices are slightly higher than in January-February, from 55,000 rubles for 7 days.
Those who find March not a hot enough month should take a trip in April... The average daytime temperature in spring is already + 32 ° С and does not drop below + 25 ° С at night. Water temperature - + 26 ° С. Until the 10th, prices are at the March level, and after that they rise to 60,000 rubles.
In May the hot season returns: the air is + 35 ° С during the day, + 30 ° С at night. Water temperature + 29 ° С. But the UAE resorts are not losing their popularity - simply because by the end of May the cost of vouchers decreases, to the notorious 50,000 rubles. So, if you are going to the UAE in the spring, you want to save money and do not mind "frying" (but not burn out, as in June and beyond) - choose May.

In June the thermometer can get right up to the mark of + 40 ° С. The water is heated up to + 32 ° С and does not bring any pleasure. Only the most heat-resistant tourists continue the beach season. Sandstorms are not uncommon in the country, sand is clogged everywhere. I don’t want to talk about prices for tours, obviously it’s not worth it (but if you really need to - then from 60,000 rubles for two).
In July even the locals are trying to leave the country. During the day, it is + 42 ° С, you can only exist where there is an air conditioner. In August the heat continues - during the day + 43 ° С, at night - + 33 ° С. Water temperature + 34 ° С! To all this charm, high humidity is also added.
UAE in September, October and November

In September it is still hot, the daytime air temperature reaches + 38 ° С, and the nighttime temperature reaches + 32 ° С.The sea water is warmed up to + 32 ° С. Prices for tours this month are quite comparable to summer ones. A seven-day vacation for two will cost from 50,000 rubles.
In October the air becomes cooler by a few more degrees: + 33 ° C during the day, + 29 ° C at night. It is already possible not only to constantly sit in the water, but also to go for walks. The tourist season is coming. With regards to "all inclusive": for October 2021, you can find vouchers from 125,000 rubles for two for 7 days.
If you are going on a family vacation in the fall, but you are still thinking in which month it is better to go on vacation, my advice to you is to choose October, and the first half of it. A mild climate is suitable for children, and not the highest prices for parents.
In November the air in Dubai "cools down" to + 30 ° С, and even up to + 25 ° С at night. The rains are coming to the country. Do not be alarmed, here it is not the tropics, but the desert :) Precipitation falls 3-4 times. All this "rainy season" absolutely does not interfere with a good rest by the warm sea at +28 degrees. Prices in November are kept at the level of October.

We can say that Dubai in the UAE is the only city that is good in any season. Even at + 40 ° C in summer, there is where to hide from the heat, and there is something to do at the same time (of course, if you are ready to spend your entire vacation in kilometers of air-conditioned shopping centers).

We never tire of repeating that the key to a good vacation is a thorough study of reviews. And for those who are really too lazy to read mnogobukaf, I have brought all the important points into one small list:
- On the Internet, they write that the UAE is a Muslim country, and therefore, you should adhere to certain rules in clothing, especially for women: for example, do not appear outside the hotel with a revealing neckline and open knees. All this is outdated information, in Dubai girls-girls-women calmly walk in leggings and tops, in short shorts and dresses.
P.S. but here you have a choice - whether to respect local traditions, or prefer your own comfort. - The country has a dry law, alcohol is prohibited here. But for foreigners, an exception has been made - you can drink in bars or restaurants (in Sharjah this is the most strict). In Dubai, alcohol is not sold in stores.
- You should not go to the Emirates during the holy month of Ramadan - there are many restrictions. But after Ramadan, you can and even need to go, especially for shopping lovers: all large stores arrange sales. In 2021, Ramadan falls on April 12-May 12.
- The beach season in the UAE is year-round. But the sun in these latitudes is so active and strong that Europeans burn out even in cloudy weather. Take more sunscreen!

When is it cheaper to vacation in the UAE?
For those who want to save money and travel to the Emirates outside the holiday season, the best month may be December or the end of May.
It is also worth paying attention to where to choose a tour. As mentioned above, the coast of the Gulf of Oman has a milder climate than the resorts of the Persian Gulf (Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah or Abu Dhabi). Sharjah and Ras al-Khaimah will cost less than futuristic Dubai or capital Abu Dhabi.
